Hello Registered Emergency Warming Center Volunteers!
If you have been through the emergency warming center training and have registered with Walla Walla Emergency Management you are in the right place.
If you are not a registered emergency volunteer, please call Christy Lieuallen to become a registered volunteer at 509-529-1183.
HOW TO CREATE A GET CONNECTED ACCOUNT
Begin by going to your http://getconnected.uwbluemt.org/ site and clicking the Sign Up button, located at the top of your screen.
You are then taken to the first step, Create Account.
1. Enter your name, email address, and any other requested or required personal information. If you want to sign up using your Facebook account, you can do so if your site has that option.
2. Type a password in both the Password and Confirm Password fields.
Note: Passwords must be at least eight characters long and are not case-sensitive. The site does not require a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters.
3. Click Create Your Account.
Next, Select the Causes You Want to Support
For this next step, you're asked to indicate at least three causes you're passionate about. (Please check Basic Needs, Community, and Crisis for the Warming Center. This information will help your Connect site inform you of the agencies in your community that support the same causes.
When you select a cause, it will be highlighted with a heart.
Click the button to Continue.
Next, Select Interests
For this next step, you're asked to indicate at least three volunteer interests, to include the skills and talents you can use in volunteering. This information will help your Connect site inform you of the volunteer opportunities in your community that match your interests and could use your skills.
Interests are displayed with their icons in a grid similar to the example shown below.
Once you have selected at least three interests, click the button to Continue.
Finally, Fan an Agency (or Two, or More!)
You're not required to fan an agency as part of sign up, but you'll want to fan any agencies that you're interested in supporting through volunteerism. Once you've fanned an agency, you'll receive emails whenever that agency posts new opportunities or events. Please Fan the Walla Walla Emergency Warming Center and United Way of Walla Walla County.
To fan an agency, click on it. Once you've selected it, the agency box is highlighted and shows a heart.
Once you have fanned one or more agencies, click the button to continue.
... And You're Done!
Click the Continue button to go to your Dashboard.
