United Way 2016 Partner Agency Allocations

United Way is a major funder of health & human services in the Walla Walla County. It currently funds 17programs through 13 partner agencies providing services in Walla Walla and Columbia counties.

Allocations made by United Way of Walla Walla County are determined by United Way of Walla Walla County’s Board of Directors on the recommendation of its allocations committee which is composed of 14 people drawn from all walks of life in our community. Members of the allocations committee review agency programs, budgets and take part in site visits. They make recommendations to the board for final approval. This process takes place every spring. In addition to funding the partner agencies, United Way also funds mini grants based upon community needs and availability of funds. Many other agencies also receive funds through special designations made by donors.
